The next session of Fitness begins on Tuesday September 12th, 2017 at 7:30pm.
Registration will be held from 7pm outside the gym for the first 2 weeks on Tuesday/ Thursday .


                                

Fall session - September 12th, 2017 to December 7th, 2017

Winter session - January 9th, 2018 to March 29th, 2018

Spring session - April 3rd, 2018 to June 14th, 2018

Westview Fitness has been offering to the local community a high-quality, low-cost, fitness class for 25 years. It encourages members of Westview and others to bring non-churched participants into the class, offering a safe place to get fit and to find out more about Westview and Christianity.
The class is held on Tuesday and Thursday from September to June, 7:30 to 8:40 in the Gym. It consists of a 5-7 minute warm up, 20-30 minutes of cardio or interval training, 20 minutes of muscular conditioning, a cool down and a 5 minute devotion talk. There are typically between 60-100 people present at each class. 
It is taught by Kim Brewster-Neelin who is certified by the YMCA, a member of Can-Fit-Pro, as well as current on CPR training.
It is open to men and women all ages, from age 13 and up - beginners and advanced. Although the aerobic routine is low/medium impact, instructions are given for those who wish to make it high impact. The cost is $30.00 for each one of the three terms -  fall, winter and spring.  The money is used for fitness equipment, music, books, bibles and other material as well as paying for CPR training for the instructor and current certification each year. Running shoes must be worn.  Fitness has always had a policy that no one should be refused because of cost, so the fees are sometimes waived at the discretion of the committee.
