We're beginning our Shoebox season with Samaritan’s Purse and their Operation Christmas Child led by our Westview OCC team of Lucy Alaimo, Crissy DiMarco, Chris Piazza and Patricia Garcia.
We have a wonderful opportunity to be part of bringing that hope; the message of the gospel, the love and care of Jesus - through practical gifts we place in a box for children in need around the world. If you are able, we encourage you to pickup a shoebox. Do one yourself, team up with someone. Encourage those you know at work, school, neighbourhood, etc. to do a shoebox.
The instruction booklet you’ll get with your shoebox will give you ideas for what you can include in it.
To pick up your shoebox:
You can also get a shoebox and pamphlet from the church during the week: Tuesday - Friday, between 9am and 4pm, or contact the church for other arrangements.
Here's a video showing the impact of a shoebox in a child's life...
The return dates of filled shoeboxes are November 18, 19 and 20, from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm

Operation Christmas Child is a fun and simple, hands-on
project of Samaritan’s Purse which asks people to fill shoe
boxes with a variety of gifts to bless the lives of children
living in desperate situations in the developing world.
Each year Westview participates in two ways:
1. As a church our people fill & contribute shoeboxes.
2. We are a distribution centre for the Montreal area for other churches, for schools and community groups, to get boxes.
A small shoebox can have a big impact. Be a part of changing children's lives all over the
world in Jesus' Name through the power of a simple gift.
A small shoebox can have a big impact. What goes into the box is fun, but what comes out of it is eternal. Be a part of changing children's lives all over the world in Jesus' Name through the power of a simple gift.
Good News! Great Joy!

Prayer:
Each shoebox is a gospel opportunity, each shoebox represents a child who will hear of God’s love, and our desire is that each shoebox will be covered in prayer! Help us cover all these boxes through prayer.
